Check out what we've been up to...

I'm a little embarrassed about how neglected this blog is. But I wont give you any excuses...instead i'll share what we HAVE been up to because Dean's been a busy boy!!!

Removing details in photos - animals

One very cool thing that can be done in Photoshop (if you know what you're doing!) is removing items within a photo that you dont want!

Sometimes the background of a photo can really take away from the main subject.

A friend sent me this photo of a bunny rabbit recently, for a photo swap where we do a scrapbooking layout using each others photos. It was such a cute photo of the bunny, but I really thought I could do more with it if the cage wasnt in that top corner.

Dean was able to remove the cage so you dont even know it was there!!!

And here's one that was obviously a much more involved job with the cage being across the whole photo...

Thanks for looking - we love to receive your comments and emails!!

Scanning old photos

Thanks to everyone who's been adding themselves as followers of the blog and your words of encouragement! From time to time we'll be making exclusive offers to our blog followers and Facebook fans, so be sure to add yourselves :)

I promised i'd be back again soon with some more examples, so here I am :)

These are some old photos I came across of my best friend from primary school and another family friend. We only had the photos (no negatives) and of course after years of sitting in a shoe box (groan) the photos had faded and had some marks & stains on them.

It is amazing what a difference Dean was able to make to them...

This type of editing is quick and easy if you know what you're doing (me, I have no idea it would take me hours upon hours and never look that good - but Dean has a knack for these ones!), so we're happy to offer the great price of $10 for 2 photos!!

My gorgeous nephews...

Well "The Photo Fixer" is going great guns, but it's about time I started blogging a bit more regularly to update you on some of the magic that Dean can do with your photos.

I LOVE this photo of my three nephews together, but unfortunately it was way back in 2003 when digital cameras werent quite up to par and the flash was harrrrsh and totally washed it out...

And here is what Dean was able to do. It's definately not perfect, he explained that without spending hours on it it was difficult to get it looking really good...but I am over the moon with how it turned out!!!

(Oh and I also got him to get rid of the frame in the top left corner so it wasnt so distracting)...

Be sure to become a follower of the blog or bookmark it as we'll be updating regularly to give you examples of what The Photo Fixer can do for you :)
